This prototype revolved around the player driving a cute little car in a big open world, delivering parcels to various stations.
This game tested a bunch of novel game mechanics, a big feature was the piston on the car which punts objects. It was really fun putting together, but was super unrefined. Maneuvering the car and aiming was unintuitive. It would’ve been nice to experiment with a towing feature. I designed the car myself in blender, and fiddled around with Unity’s physics until the handling was acceptable. The environment was designed with free low poly models, simple palette landscapes, and various particles. I was able to create a simple yet immersive world using cute, cartoon visuals.
